Description:
The Flux has been refined for riders looking to progress their prone foiling or wingfoiling in waves. Due to the efficiency of the outline and hull design, expect to be able to ride a board of at least 25% smaller volume in the same conditions
The length combined with the wide nose & tail provides stability when paddling into a wave or getting up with a win while the low drag, semi-displacement hull makes for ultra easy takeoffs and smooth touchdown recoveries.
The design also provides extra lift when the board is submerged, meaning less force from the wing is required to get up to the surface in low power condition. The Flux truly is the best of both worlds, more low end in a higher performance package.
The large bevels and slim outline provide extra clearance at high bank angles, while the surfboard inspired rail geometry makes the arc of your turn is not thrown off if touched down.

NON-LINEAR SCALING
Every size of the Flux excels in prone and wing foiling and is entirely focused on increasing the performance of intermediate and advanced riders. This is especially noticeable in the larger sizes whose shapes have not been compromised to suit beginners learning to wing.
Depending on rider weight and skill, each size fills a unique niche and has been designed accordingly. The smaller boards have a proportionally wider shape to provide sufficient deck space and volume. As the size increases, the outline is slimmed down, especially in the nose and tail. This reduces swing weight and aerodynamic drag while scaling the volume and length required to get up to foiling speed with less swell or wind energy.
ERGONOMIC DECK
The deck is comfortable and secure; zero-rocker and light concave through the standing area provide direct heel to toe pressure and a consistent feel when using any foil.
TOUCH DOWN PERFORMANCE
Glide right through the most aggressive touchdowns with the Flux's hydrodynamic hull. Compared to other boards it barely feels like you've come off foil.
MADE IN THE EU
The Flux is built to last. The Appletree factory in Portugal applies a full carbon layup over a CNC cut closed-cell foam core. Vacuum resin infusion technology is used to saturate the cloth and achieve the ideal fiber to resin ratio to optimize stiffness and durability. This process is what allows Appletree to create a permanent bond to their proprietary foam core, and uniquely results in a board that will not be damaged by water ingress - even if the outer skin is damaged. Along with their world renowned track reinforcing tech, the Flux is a board you can rely on to maintain peak performance for years to come.
LOW DRAG HANDLE
A mini fin provides a streamlined and lightweight handle for carrying the larger boards. The FCS system allows the fin to be reversed to provide two handle positions to balance a range of foil mounting positions.
An FCS II box and G10 fin come standard with every 60L, 72L, and 84L Flux.

Wow!!! So amazing, will be a disrupter
Ok, so I have been looking for a wing foil board with these dimensions for a while and with a downwindish design flare to it. Most boards were longer than 6ft and wider (23ish) with flattish bottoms, not bad but I was looking for more. These boards had better dimensions , were more to my liking also made by Appletree so I knew they were bomber construction. I'm 100kg and decided to try the 84L. Even though it was narrow (21.5) it was not tippy and wow does this board take off, was on foil so fast even in light wind 9-10 ish. The rail to rail action is so easy and fun in the surf too. So I was convinced this was the unicorn i was looking for, so I tried the 60L board even though it seemed to be on the small side. Most of my small short sinker board were tippy and sometimes a struggle to get going. This board was none of that. Below the surface it was so stable and could even control it while it was submerged. The nose would get to the surface fast and in a controlled manner. Once on the surface it was off to the races, so fast on foil. Being on a this board and small foil made this feel like a true prone experience and setup was as light as one. So responsive and fast and touch downs just bounce off the surface. It blew my mind and I couldn't stop smiling after may session !! Their design is like nothing else on the market. I recommend you give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

Highly efficient shape with incredible build quality
With only a few sessions under my belt, it is clear that the team at Omen have knocked it out of the park with the Flux. While a bit more weight sensitive during starts, the Flux gets planing quickly and efficiently for such a small and narrow board (I ride the 48L at 72kg). Going upwind, I've found that I can really rake the board over without fear of having the rail hit the water given the narrow outline and the rail shape. Jibes and tacks seem easier and I can really carve through my maneuvers with confidence. Jumps are a breeze and the nose shape really helps recover from touchdowns quite well. The construction is top notch as should be expected from Appletree and their board building pedigree. My only suggestion for future iterations would be to sacrifice a bit of weight and add more footstrap inserts to accommodate a wider variety of riding styles.

Omen Flux 72L board
Went from a 98L traditional short wide foil board to the Flux 72L, and it looking back. After two sessions on the Flux I am selling my old board and my 8M wing. I am 175lb and this is the lowest volume board I have ever had. I was worried about starts, but has been no problem getting to my knee and standing. I was looking for a smaller downwind style board when I came across the flux. It’s like a down wind board with the pin tail chopped off. The board accelerates so quickly when pumping I am easily foiling in 12mph on a 6M when I used to have to use a 8M. Best part about this board is I can use it for everything light wind to 40 mph in the Gorge. The 22” width is narrow enough to carry without a handle and the board is very light. The deck pad is very sticky but low profile.
