New for 2015, the Misfit now features precision laser cut NACA Duct channels. That's right, Slingshot put aerospace design into a kiteboard. The Misfit has raised the bar again for performance freeriding. With the addition of Slingshot's precision laser cut NACA Duct channels, the Misfit takes freeride performance to a whole new level. Like a vacuum, the NACA Duct channels water from the middle of the board to the tip. The directed water accelerates through the channel and increases the board speed and grip to the water. The benefits to the rider are increased edge control and reduced drag through the water. NEW NACA DUCT TECHNOLOGY: NACA DUCT channels improve performance and edge control by creating a low-drag submerged inlet that streamlines water flow while increasing board speed.

ELLIPTICAL CONCAVE: Concave bottom shape designed to optimize edge-to-edge responses.

TAPERWALL: A step-down rail delivering optimum edge control, sound handling in choppy water, bomber impact resistance and added stability at speed. From the belly of the board it tapers off in thickness acting as a molded fin when the board is on edge.

PRECISION LASER-CUT CHANNELS: As a result of our laser cutting machine (seriously, A FREAKIN' LASER), all of our boards feature a cleaner, more precise construction. The changes help for cleaner takeoffs, smoother landings, better response and added stability.

SINGLESEHOT FUSION SIDEWALL: We’ve transferred the same technology found in high durometer urethane skateboard wheels into the rail of all our boards.
