OK, so I thought I had ordered up the 2015 North Gambler as my personal board for the season. Apparently, I wan't paying close enough attention to what I was agreeing to via distracted text messaging. My board shows up and the whole place goes up with laughter as the young shreds are hassling me about my brand new Hadlow 140. Yeah, my first name is also Aaron. I'm also in my early 40s, very much unlike Hadlow. I'll never max out the potential of this board and I have no dreams of doing so. That said, I did finally stick my first clean Raley-to-Blind with it. Micro-shredder status finally achieved.
Previous to the Hadlow 140, my absolute favorite board was my 2012 North Team Series 137cm. The Hadlow is very much like the traditional Team Series, but with some seriously radical channeling, reinforced mounting and much more rocker. The rocker-line is just perfect for someone who likes to ride booted, but it also gets back upwind pretty darn well, so don't sweat it.
Bottom line: the 2015 North Team Series Hadlow 140cm is my new favorite board of all time. It shreds chop like nothing, guns upwind, loads, pops and lands smooth. The price tag will indeed give you some shock, but it's also one that I'd plan on having for a really long time, and it's worth every penny.

Based on the Team Series, the new Hadlow Edition is ideal for those seeking the ultimate performance out of a board, tested to the max by Aaron Hadlow. Its aggressive channels and 3D design across the underside of the board gives you the grip you need for Wakestyle and rail riding, whilst the intricate flex pattern and balanced rocker line give you the speed and pop and that is suited and specced for the world's best competitors.
Compared to the Team Series, the Hadlow Edition is slightly wider and shorter for its size; this gives it a slightly rounder outline that is more suited for riding with boots and allows for a comfortable ride. With carbon we have managed to create a stiff flex pattern that produces an aggressive, snappy pop. We focused on making the center between the boots more rigid, reducing torsion flex, this gives you more control in releasing the edge at the perfect moment. All this combined with an intermediate rocker line, gives performance that is comfortable even in the choppiest condition. If you want the absolute ultimate board for competition level freestyle, the Hadlow Edition is it!
