DETAILS

From Ocean Rodeo's partnership with ALUULA Composites comes the new high aspect, 5-strut Rise, delivering an all-new standard in acceleration, precision control, Big Air torque and stratospheric performance.

The combination of the Rise's highly-tuned airfoil design and the benefits of ultra lightweight ALUULA composite material delivers an ultra stable airframe, allowing for utmost rider confidence, and creating a true synergy between Big Air riders and their kite.

Built using 82gsm ALUULA Gold composite material and ALUULA Seam technology, the Rise's power to weight ratio is next level, coming in at over twice the strength of traditional Dacron airframes, yet at half the weight. The airframe can also withstand a higher pressure than the industry standard, providing exceptionally tuned-in and optimized performance, even in the most extreme conditions.

WARNING: The available power and vertical boost will exceed what many seasoned kiters are familiar with. During your initial Rise sessions, please ease into your first jumps, especially in strong winds, in order to adjust to this new performance level.

TECHNOLOGY

ASPECT RATIOASPECT RATIO

The A-Series Rise features a high aspect ratio to deliver more lift per square meter and a faster climb, while generating less drag for a kite that lifts you windward.

SHAPE

An open C shape allows for fast precise steering, precision sheeting and quick water relaunch. Creating a light wind performance kite is no easy task.

The A-Series Rise contains a wide arc and large projected area to produce as much power per square meter as possible.

5 STRUT FULL ALUULA AIRFRAME

 5 STRUT FULL ALUULA AIRFRAME

It's no secret that removing struts from kites means a compromise in performance – the reduction in weight improves light wind capabilities but the downside is reduced stability and poor top-end performance. With a full ALUULA airframe, there is no longer a need to compromise.

Featuring ALUULA 82 gsm composite airframe, not only is the Rise incredibly light, but its stiff air frame performs like no other in both light and high wind.

Air frame can be tuned with higher PSI than traditional Dacron kites for enhanced high wind handling.

Precision curved to match the airfoil profile, the ALUULA airframe is highly tuned to take full advantage of the unique properties of this cutting-edge composite material which is sewn using super-tough Quad Lock stitching, designed specifically for ALUULA.

Simply put: the ALUULA five-strut airframe delivers the best handling in ALL conditions.

ALUULA ATTRIBUTES

Aluula Tensile Strength (Warp / Weft)Tensile Strength (Warp / Weft)

Tensile strength is a measurement of the force required to pull something such as rope, wire, or a structural beam to the point where it breaks.

The lengthwise or longitudinal warp yarns are held stationary in tension on a frame or loom while the transverse weft (sometimes woof) is drawn through and inserted over-and-under the warp.

Aluula Modulus (N/mm2)Modulus (N/mm2)

Modulus of elasticity measures a material's resistance to being deformed elastically (not permanently) when stress is applied.

Aluula Tear Strength (Lbs of force)Tear Strength (Lbs of force)

Tear resistance (or tear strength) is a measure of how well a material can withstand the effects of tearing..

STRUT TECHNOLOGY

ALUULA PRECISION CURVED STRUTSALUULA PERCISION CURVED STRUTS

Precision curved and composed entirely out of the ultra light, ultra strong, UV stable and virtually unrippable ALUULA composite material; The A-Series' struts offer more rigidity and control, while also significantly reducing their weight and therefore increasing performance capability.

QUAD LOCK SEAMSQUAD LOCK SEAMS

Used specifically on the shaping seams of struts, Quad Lock delivers more than twice the strength of standard strut seam constructs, and was another innovation specifically tailored for the ALUULA airframe kites.

LEADING EDGE TECHNOLOGY

FULL ALUULA LEFULL ALUULA LE

Made entirely of ALUULA G-Series 82gsm composite, the A-Series airframe is the lightest, strongest and most responsive on the market.

With 6 times the tensile strength of a Dacron leading edge, the all ALUULA leading edge stiffens and lightens the entire kite, providing the most refined handling and performance in all conditions.

The leading edge can be tuned to higher inflation pressures than is possible with Dacron to allow further stiffness to the airframe.

RIDGE LOCK SEAMRIDGE LOCK SEAM

This innovative seam technology is designed specifically for ALUULA. The ridge moves the stress of the stitch holes and threads to the anti compression ridge. Strategically located to add additional stability to the leading edge, the Ridge Seam helps stabilize the kites arc in gusty and high wind conditions.

HEX LOCK SEAMHEX LOCK SEAM

Another new seam from the ALUULA design team. Hex Lock resists torque and pressures far beyond existing seam techniques, and it has been designed specifically for ALUULA composite materials. Hex Lock is used exclusively on leading edge and strut segment seams.

REINFORCED CANOPY

REINFORCED CANOPYALUULA REINFORCED

The canopy's reinforcements, overlays and anti-flutter strips now benefit from ALUULA's remarkable strength to weight ratio and its superior abrasion resistance compared to Dacron and other much heavier abrasion solutions.

TEIJIN D2 RIPSTOP CANOPYTEIJIN D2 RIPSTOP CANOPY

Designed specifically for the kiteboarding market, Teijin's Technoforce D2 ripstop has high tear resistance, low stretch, and is incredibly lightweight.

Each strand of yarn is individually coated before being woven together. A second surface coating is then applied to the material, providing long term endurance.

Teijin D2 is the benchmark in quality with proven superiority in durability and dynamics.

SPEED INFLATION SYSTEMSPEED INFLATION SYSTEM

HIGH CAPACITY VALVEHIGH CAPACITY VALVE

Every aspect of our Speed Inflation System has been fine tuned over the years to be low profile, reduce drag, and above all to ensure that you spend less time on the beach and more time on the water.

Featuring EVA Clamp Covers. See if your clip is open or shut. Light and easy to operate.

BRIDLE SYSTEMBRIDLE SYSTEM

Highly refined, the compact two pulley bridle is designed for arc stability and no snagging, while at the same time providing direct drive steering and a massive sheeting range. The Bridle is compatible with all bars that feature a single front line flag out emergency de-power system.

Industry standard larks head on LE bridle to front flying line knot or bead. Back lines larks head to bead or knot on kites back line leader. Bridle is designed to accept bars fitted with lines at equal length when set at pull power.

ALUULA kite more efficientWHY ALUULA?

Because a lighter kite means a better ride.

ALUULA, an ultra-light, ultra-strong and stable composite material, not only improves light wind performance but also increases handling, stability and flying performance in all wind conditions. This makes an ALUULA kite more efficient than a standard kite, performing better in all respects, including speed through the air, turning speed and light wind stability.

Why do you need the lightest kites on the market?

  • Better for freeride, freestyle and surf riders. With more response in all departments and in all conditions, you'll enjoy faster snaps, loftier hang-time, better drift and the confidence to ride even when conditions are marginal.
  • Better for boosting and hang-time. With a kite that's half the weight and has a stronger airframe, you have a confidence-inspiring boosting machine. You can also generate power on both your down and upstroke… Something that was unheard of in kite performance until now.
  • Better wind range. Because the kite is 3-struts, and yet as light as some no-strut kites, the same kite will deliver rock-solid performance and stability at the top end of the wind range, as well as in extreme light wind.
  • Better relaunch. Simply pumping one back line will cause the airframe's stiffer flex to work the kite out onto one wing tip, and into the air. The A-Series kites are easier to reverse launch in light winds too.
  • Better for learning. You'll find your level improves immediately with an A-Series kite. Flying the kite is easier during all manoeuvres as, due to the lighter weight, an ALUULA kite resists both flying too far forward, and back stalling.
  • Better for travel. When two A-Series kites weigh the same as one traditional kite, it's a no-brainer… More kites on your trips means more time in the water.
