    2022 ION GEARBAG TEC

Posted by Yarnin on 14th Mar 2023

I recently purchased the 2022 ION GEARBAG TEC, and overall, I'm quite impressed with the quality of the bag. The materials and construction seem very durable and well-made, and the zippers and handles all function smoothly. However, I did run into a bit of an issue with the sizing. I opted for the 6'8'' model, thinking that it would provide plenty of space for my 5' Foilboard 3 kites, and my twin-tip. Unfortunately, I found that the bag was just a bit too long, and as a result, it kept folding in the middle when I tried pull it on its wheels. This made it really difficult to use the bag properly during transit, and I had to spend a lot of extra time trying to get around the airport and from one place to another. While I appreciate the extra length in theory, it ended up causing more problems than it solved. Overall, I think the 2022 ION GEARBAG TEC is a great option for anyone looking for a high-quality kite gear bag. However, if you're planning to use it with a 5' board and multiple kites, I would recommend going with a slightly smaller size to avoid the folding issue I experienced.
