In traditional industry foil setups, the mast simply bolts to the fuselage. But we found foils coming back from product testing with all the screws bent. We needed to design a more effective load-bearing system to lock the mast to the fuselage.
OPTIMIZED LOAD BEARING.
Drawing from yacht design, and specifically keel boat racing, our Product Manager Uli Somerlatt engineered a unique geometry locking connection, using a tapered composite fuselage adapter to sit between the mast and the fuselage. The screws engage the GeoLock, making the load transfer more effective and preventing the fitting from loosening over time.

The composite adapter between the mast and fuselage helps to isolate the contact between the metal parts, and minimizes the risk of corrosion by salt water, ensuring a more durable and long lasting connection.
