Inboard M1 Electric Skateboard
Wow—this thing rips!
The Inboard M1 electric skateboard was developed and marketed by a good friend of ours named Ryan Evans. A close connection can sometimes blur your vision when it comes to being objective about a product. Not the case here.
Ryan and his team have designed an electric skateboard with a removable airline compliant battery, built-in lights and the ability to free-wheel just like a regular longboard.
Inboard's twin 1600 watt motors deliver smooth, controllable power and the most recent upgrade gives you 40% more torque. This is especially useful for stop-and-start urban commuting and hilly terrain.
While the board itself is a little stiff for my liking, I absolutely love everything else about it.
The controller is ergonomic and easy to use, and the "Inboard Vision" app allows you to have advanced control over your ride. Including all firmware updates and the ability to use your iPhone in place of the included remote control.
The Inboard M1 is aesthetically clean and does not look like a powered skateboard at all. The only thing that is noticeable from a distance is the added thickness of the deck itself—but that's it.
