Kiteboarding Tips
Tip #13 - Pad Placement and Strap Adjustment
by Scott Guy
As you start to set up your new board, a common question is "Where should I put the pads?" One of the easiest and most effective ways to determine this is to jump on to the board. Align yourself centered on the board and standing at the rail. Take a small jump and land on the board.

This will set your feet to a naturally comfortable position.

From there follow the manufacturer's direction to your specific pad installation. Once your pads are on the board you need to adjust them to be snug. With the straps loose slide your foot in so the strap is touching your shin.

Then pull the straps as tight as you can and lock them into place.
