Here a little review on the 06 RRD XXXX 136 40. The first thing that comes to mind is how light it is. The next thing is the tip flex, it carves upwind so easy making boosting a breeze. The foot bed is movable with a multitude positions wich makes it very easy to get things real comfortable. It is a very smooth riding board it planed in the lulls and it handled the blazing speed runs. Getting a good pop was very easy.

Over all I had a blast with it. It exceeded my XXXXpectation biggrin.gif

Very cool Bob. Those RRD boards have been my favorite full on production board for a while now. My all time favorite board ever ridden is GS's Agression, but I consider that a Custom, or Custom Production...what ever you want to classify it as, it is built to production specs meticulously by hand. I love my '05 RRD 13037 XXX and it is holding up well so I am going to ride that for medium and high wind, and then run an '06 Cabrinha 144 ICON with the big kite.

RRD just simply rules in everything they produce.

They make some of the best...gasp...windsurfing boards. I hear their kites are sweet. The kiteboards are just sick...they ride so fast and rip upwind and have mad pop and nice and light too....I loved them so much I had Chris buy me 2 XXX's.....I'll ride those till they break or go out of style.....I'm sure the XXXX's are even better.

Glad ya got one of those bad boys Bobby...no more "door days" eh?

Just don't break it CAB from your 30 foot landings.

CabalDC is no longer distributing RRD in the US so they can focus on board building (Skimboards primarily with interest in a lot of other watersports related boards).

As of right now, I don't believe RRD has a distributor in the US.

That is true, they stopped in Dec 05. But, Roberto R. is sending me the stuff from Italy at the same price even shipping. US distributor will be setup next month, but until then it comes from over seas. We have rumor on the name but dont want to say it until its final.

I will be ordering Cabal Skims for the shop this year still though. They have an awesome skimboard.

Yeah Aggression customs rock! They are my weapons of choice. I might just be a little bias but I can't wait to test out his new 06 boards down in Hatteras in a month. He has made some pretty big changes to make the boards even faster this year. He also added a second rocker table to his arsenal that has less than 1/2" rocker for the light wind days.

My prototype Aggression Barn Door has just over 1" of rocker the new ones are even flatter. I can't wait to try out his new Super Phatty.

When we all are down in Hatteras in a few weeks get a few rides in on the new 06 boards. I will talk GS into loaning us a couple demo boards for the week.

Oh and if you haven't seen it yet check out the new gear guide from The Kiteboarder. Yup you guessed it Aggression Kiteboards are the first manufacture listed. How sweet is that. Aggressions are going to be out all over this year. Stop by the shop to pick up the latest kiteboarder mag and check it out.

Cheers
jake
