How to Install Naish Straps and Pads
by Skip Schott

MACkite will set your straps and footpads when a board is purchased through the shop. If you buy a board secondhand or want to reset your footstraps/footpads - follow these steps:

1. Use your current board to check the footstrap/footbed width
to set your stance:

2. Set the pad and strap in place and set the screw in the insert
with the strap at a reverse angle:

3. Rotate the strap to the correct angle with pressure
on the screw (clockwise rotation):

Installation hints (from Joe B - Naish Midwest Rep)
  • Use a long screwdriver to gain purchase on the screw. Do not use a power tool until you have the screw lined up properly with a manual screwdriver.
  • Pull out the external adjustment strap to give you more room to set the footstrap screw.
