Product Description

2018 Slingshot Simulator Foil Board

5’6“ x 20“ x 2 1/8“ 36L

The perfect progression board, the Simulator is a large board with a foam deck to drastically reduce the amount of pain potentially caused by foiling. Now only your ego will hurt when you’re learning! But in all seriousness, this board is a great combination with Slingshot’s Foil Academy mast system and the WS1 foil for maximum stability. Coupled with the extra buoyancy that a board like this provides, you’ll have a much easier time learning and progressing on a board like this.

We find that this board is also an excellent foil surfboard for small to medium sized riders as well as experienced heavy riders.  It's larger nose gives a bit larger sweet spot and helps prevent pearling.

What to Know About Hydrofoils

What was once a simple choice has now become a convoluted but potentially beneficial choice. What Slingshot has to say about the 2018 Simulator Foil Board

Covered in a thick EVA layer, the Simulator is a user-friendly board designed specifically for safer entry-level foil progression. As you try foiling for the first time, and experience your first crashes, you’ll quickly appreciate the forgiving feel and cushy padding that covers the top and rails of the board. You’ll also appreciate the extra length and buoyancy of the Simulator; it will help you get up and going and makes the first stage of bouncing up and down on the water much more forgiving. Once you’ve progressed beyond the first learning stages, the Simulator remains a fun freeride board you can use to practice transitions, toeside riding, jumping and more aggressive carving. The padded top and extra volume will come in handy through every stage of your progression. It’ll also come in handy when you’re asked to teach friends and family.
