The new 2018 Cabrinha XO Board has been brought back to help the ladies enjoy a board specifically designed for them. The XO is shaped to provide quick planing and upwind drive, as well as maintaining a smooth flex pattern for nice and easy cruising. All of Cabrinha's 2018 boards feature ABS rails to keep the board water-tight, even after years of use and abuse.
What Cabrinha has to say about the 2018 XO
Cabrinha's approach to development the XO was to start from scratch and engineer this board from the ground up. The result is a performance freestyle model with a soft, responsive flex. Details like appropriate sizes and widths, narrowere stance options, and lighter weights all make this board the ideal choice for women of all levels.
- New bottom and deck shaping
- Added rail channels for better grip
- Balanced flex patterns tuned for a smooth ride
- Dynamic pop and low spinweight
- Early planing lift and reliable edge hold
- Smooth predictable landings
Medium rocker boards find the perfect balance between high rocker high performance and flat lightwind rockers making the boards great all around boards with lengthened turning radius. Found on the Ace Carbon, Ace Wood, XO, and Spectrum.
A softer flex pattern making the board easier to press and manhandle and a bit more forgiving. Exclusive to the XO.
Paulownia Wood Core
We use a premium “A-grade” Paulownia wood core which is vertically laminated to optimize strength, reduce weight and allow the board to flex more naturally and freely. Found in all 2018 models.
Basalt is a volcanic mineral fiber which offers vibration resistance and durability while maintaining a high strength to weight ratio. Washed pure molten basalt rock is absent of toxic additives. The combination of wood core with basalt laminate provides a flex characteristic, unique to Cabrinha.
Customized double 45 degree bias Carbon Fiber is a lightweight and durable laminate that maximizes performance by stiffening the flex pattern for increased response and explosive pop.
Core profiling is the most efficient way to control tip, tail and torsional flex. Tapered raised rails control the torsional stiffness and enhances flex control while keeping the board weight to a minimum. Freeride boards benefit the most from the technology with a substantial increase in rebound.
ABS is a tough hard wearing composite material which bonds very well to epoxy. This is used during the lay-up process ensuring a smooth, durable and consistent ride. All twin tip rails and insert blocks are made from ABS material.

The H1 is a one strap, asymmetrical body shape which provides a positive fit for the rider looking for board control with ease of use. It is supportive, yet lightweight and flexible, and can be used for all types of twin tip riding from freestyle to freeriding. The H1 attaches to the board with minimal effort and allows for multiple stance options with duck and heel toe offset option. It sits on a super cushy footpad with arch support, toe grips, and generous heel coverage.
Designed for the unique requirements of kiting, this boot offers the most solid connection between riders and their boards. The ultra-lightweight outer shell and low profile upper section are designed for more lateral movement, without sacrificing support. Other features include easy Velcro entry & exit, neoprene flex zones for flexibility, closed-toe design to reduce cramping and improve fit, and lightweight nylon baseless chassis to give you a solid board feel with maximum impact absorption
